It is the largest room of the Palace due
to the existence of an arch which prolongs the room into an
antechamber giving access to the lift. Various techniques were used for the decoration of this room: plaster relief-work, painting on golden leaf, and oil painting. On the walls, there are panels separeted by relief pilasters with oak leafage, and encompassed by golden frames. They integrate, in a blue background, borders painted sepia on golden leaf, featuring leaves. In the center or the ceiling, there id a medallion representing the embrace of Zephyrus - the western wind - and Cloris (Flora) who originates spring. Small winged cupids scatter in all directions. |
